UK ACCIDENT DAMAGES
SOLICITORS ADVICE

We are an independent network of specialist personal injury solicitors whose expertise will maximise your accident damages. Our solicitors are members of the Law Society panel of personal injury experts and deal with claims using the no win no fee scheme. You will not have to pay for any expenses or make any financial contribution as the claim proceeds. Compensation is paid in full with no deductions and our service is completely risk free..

If you have been injured as a result of negligence or lack of care for your safety you are entitled to claim compensation even if you were partially to blame. When a solicitor wins a claim the other party are required by law to also pay the legal costs. You can safely instruct solicitors to act on your behalf in the knowledge that their fees will not come out of the compensation that you are awarded. In most cases claims are made against individuals or organisations that are insured and the Insurance Company will pay for any compensation and legal costs.

Compensation is payable for pain and suffering and for past and future financial losses. To establish the amount payable evidence is required in the form of medical reports to prove pain and suffering, or in the case of financial loss by other documentation. If the amount of compensation cannot be agreed or liability is disputed the matter will have to be decided by a Court of Law however Insurance Companies much prefer to settle claims out of court in order to avoid paying increased legal expenses.

Categories of accident damages payable as a result of a successful claim are as follows :-

  • General Damages are paid for pain and suffering caused as a result of the injury and for any ongoing pain and discomfort. Compensation for pain and suffering is assessed by reference to previously decided court cases and from guidance contained in a publication called "The Judicial Studies Guidelines". In addition compensation can also be claimed for any necessary change in lifestyle, for loss of congenial employment and for disadvantage on the open labour market.
  • Special Damages are payable for actual past losses and estimated future losses and may include:
    • loss of past income and loss of assessed future income
    • care for the past and estimated care for the future
    • gratuitous assistance
    • medical expenses for the past and for the future
    • loss of amenities of life
    • prescriptions
    • reduced employment prospects in the future
    • expenses in relation to the claim

  • Interest may be added to compensation awarded

If you would like free advice on compensation claims from accredited experts then just complete the contact form and a member of The Law Society panel of personal injury experts will telephone you. Our service is completely risk free and requires no financial contribution.
