UK BICYCLE ACCIDENT COMPENSATION CLAIMS
We are an independent bicycle accident compensation claims service. Our solicitors deal exclusively in road traffic accident claims and are members of The Law Society panel of personal injury experts. They offer free consultation to individuals who have been injured in cycling accidents as a result of negligent motorists, unsafe conditions and defective products. You will receive a sympathetic hearing from a solicitor who understands the particular difficulties facing cyclists on the road.
All of our solicitors operate the no win no fee scheme, and compensation
is paid in full with no deductions. We are not a claims management company and you do not have to fund or finance your claim in any respect. Our personal injury claims are completely risk free and you have nothing to lose. Our services include:
- Investigation of the accident scene
- Provision of photographs and plans where necessary
- Interviewing of witnesses and provision of statements
- Securing engineering and experts reports
- Assessment of property damage
- Estimation of the value of your injury and provision of medical consultants reports
- Negotiation with the insurance company, loss adjusters or product manufacturer
- Representation in a court of law where necessary
If you have had an accident there are a number of things that you can do to help ensure that you prove liability and maximise your claim including
- Call the police and attempt to ensure that the other person involved in the accident remains at the scene of an accident. Leave your cycle in the same position that it came to rest after the accident and do not clear up any broken glass etc. Make a mental note of the position of impact and the direction of travel.
- Obtain as much information as possible from the driver of the vehicle. Ensure that you obtain the name, address, phone number, vehicle registration number and make and model of the car. Try to obtain driving licence and insurance details.
- Try to make a note of the names addresses and phone numbers of witnesses but do not try to take any statements from them as this should be left to your solicitor.
- Make detailed notes about the circumstances of the accident and draw a detailed plan or diagrams using arrows to show the position and direction of all vehicles involved. Note the street names, weather conditions and date and time of the incident on the plan.
- Before the police leave the accident, write down the accident report number and the collar numbers of any attending police officers.
- Consult your own doctor or visit you local hospital to assess your injuries. Photograph any visible injuries.
- Bicycle accident compensation claims need to be proved so you should keep any damaged clothing and bike parts. Get a written assessment of the damage to the bike.
