MIB MOTOR INSURERS BUREAU CLAIMS

The Motor Insurers Bureau ( MIB ) will compensate the victims of negligent uninsured or untraced drivers who have been involved in a road traffic accident and who have suffered personal injury and loss.

  • Uninsured Drivers
An application for compensation can be made if the driver of the other vehicle was uninsured but identified at the time of the accident. Investigations into the issue of liability are made and consideration is given to the documentary evidence provided to support the value of the claim, including medical records in relation to injuries and documentary evidence relating to loss of earnings, property and vehicle damage. If a decision on liability or the amount of any award is not satisfactory then an appeal can be made to reconsider any accident claims. Our panel solicitors will deal with your case on a no win no fee basis, will fully finance your claim and your accident compensation will be paid in full, with no deductions. All losses incurred as a result of the accident can be claimed from The Motor Insurers Bureau including:

    • loss of past and future income
    • damage to your vehicle and property
    • vehicle Hire
    • medical expenses for the past and for the future

    • pain and Suffering (including psychological damage)

  • Untraced Drivers
A claim can be made, if the other driver was untraced or unidentified, for those losses resulting directly from the injuries sustained. Property damage including damage to vehicles cannot be recovered in hit and run cases. The MIB makes investigations into liability and the value of the claim, prior to making an award. If the decision on liability or the amount of the award is not found to be satisfactory then an appeal can be made. Our panel solicitors will deal with your claim on a no win no fee basis however you may have to make a contribution to your legal costs from any compensation received.
